Robert ?Bob? Ellis Dailey, CWO4-United States Coast Guard-Retired, 79, of Largo, FL passed away at the Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL on December 29, 2007 of natural causes. A native of Bishopville, SC, Bob was a retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 from the Coast Guard; served as a veteran in the US Coast Guard during World War II, Korean and Vietnam War; a member of the American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; Past Commander of Post # 158 in Treasure Island, FL and a member of the Elks Lodge. He was of the Protestant Faith and during his US Coast Guard Career; he was awarded the US Navy Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Devices; Combat Action Ribbon; US Coast Guard Commendation Medal Ribbon; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars; Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Cross and the National Defense Medal with 1 Bronze Star. He is survived by his wife, Eber Joan Dailey of Largo, FL; four sons: Richard A. Dailey of Jacksonville, AR; Robert S. Dailey of Gulfport, MS; Gary E. Dailey of Largo, FL and Robert E. Dailey Jr. of Savannah, GA; a daughter, Sanice Dailey of Savannah, GA and ten grandchildren.
