Robert Field Fierro, 57, of Tampa, died December 15, 2009 with loved ones by his side. Born in New York, NY, Mr. Fierro was the beloved son of Grace Fierro and the late Dr. Frank Fierro. He joined the Marine Corps after graduation from high school. Mr. Fierro was a welder by profession. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Gloria Barrett, Joyce Velzy, Dr. Charles Fierro and Frank Fierro, several nieces and nephews and many good friends, including his buddy Tom Blashewski.
Mr. Fierro will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his ability to light up the room when he entered, and his unending generosity. When It came to movies, Robert was a fountain of information and could remember any movie, whether it was from the 1940’s or 2000’s, and all the trivia surrounding them. He was also a great sports aficionada, with a surprising memory concerning the minutia of football and baseball teams.
