Robert F. Glass, 65, of Brandon, FL, A1C-United States Air Force-Vietnam War Veteran, passed away at his residence in Valrico on November 8, 2010. He was under the care of Life Path Hospice.
Robert's services are 7:30 PM, Monday Evening, November 15, 2010 at New Testament Church, 913 Dew Bloom Road, Brandon, Florida 33511 with Pastor Robert Hutcheson and the United States Air Force Military Honor Guard, to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 6 pm until service time.
Robert was born in Plant City, FL and a lifelong resident of the Mango – Brandon area. Robert was a driver for Premier Liquors; a Baptist; a member of the American Legion and a graduate of Brandon High School Class of 1964. During his military career, he served overseas and was awarded a National Defense Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal and an Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
Robert was preceeded in death by his parents, Horace O. Sr. and Effie J Clark Glass, a brother, Oliver Glass and a sister, Mary Nell Stephens. Robert is survived by his wife, Linda “Joyce” Glass of Brandon, FL; his sons: David White of Valrico, FL and Derek White and his wife, Larisa of Valrico, FL; a brother, Nelson Glass and his wife, Pat of Valrico, Florida; four sisters: Jeanie Boatwright and her husband, Fred of Perry, Florida; Lois Noel, Gladys Glass and Rosa Glass, all of Seffner, Florida and his four grandchildren: Kyle White, Tyler White, Jeffrey White and Austin White.
Final interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
