Robert Lee Wilson II, 50, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He was born in Tampa, FL and returned to Tampa Bay in 1983 from Michigan.
He served his country in the US Army. He was the owner of Dixie Manufacturing where he made lamps and lampshades.
Robert was someone who enjoyed life. His motto was, “Captain Morgan, Fast Cars and Fast Women”. He loved his family and took great pleasure in sharing the holidays by inviting friends to his house. He enjoyed boating and he loved his dogs, Dixie, Brock, and Rockie.
He is survived by his father, Robert Wilson of St. Petersburg; mother, Mary Price of New Port Richey; sisters, Sherry Williamson of Gulfport; Lori Janacek and Windy Wilson of St. Petersburg; grandmother, Lucille Baretti; and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at the Bay Pines National Cemetery on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 10:00AM.

I am forever thankfull for all the rides to work, advice in life, and all the laughs you gave me(: you are the only unlce that has been so close to my heart not only as my uncle but as a friend. when i miss you i look up into the sky and kiss you..i used to cry and not be able to look at the sky but now i can try to smile most of the time. now Bob has gone before us. it canbe so hard to except. into our hearts so much sadness has crept. only God knows why it was was Bobs time. ;) i would want to hang out with Bob too. speed boating in Gods land. sit back and watch the sunsets together. Bob was a great guy.
now just as we will see him again, so he is seeing so many that have gone before him.
