Robert W. "Bob" Geist of Belleair, Florida passed away Friday evening, October 24th at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater. He was 79 years young. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and finished his 20 years of service stationed at Patrick AFB in Satellite Beach, Florida as a Rescue and Recovery Pilot with NASA. After retiring, he worked at Morton Plant Mease Hospital for 15 years as an electronic engineer. Bob leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Diane Hood Geist of Belleair, FL; a son, Gregory Todd Geist of Clearwater; and two daughters – Kristi Geist of Clearwater and Lori Geist of Tallahassee, FL. He will be greatly missed for his loving kindness and positive spirit. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
