Roderick B. MacKenzie, 70, PFC-US ARMY of Largo, FL funeral is 10:30 AM, Monday, February 22, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with Captain Arthur Nave and the Marion County Military Honor Guard providing full military honors. Please meet at the cemetery between 10:00 AM and service time.
A native of Long Island, NY and a local resident, Roderick was a retired Baptist Minister, attended the Largo Alliance Church in Largo, FL and served in the US Army- 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper.
He is survived by his loving family: a wife, Encarnacion “Nini” MacKenzie of Largo, FL; a son, Mitchell MacKenzie of Providence, RI, a daughter, Monica Vacca of Providence, RI, a brother, Ian Mac Kenzie of Pawling, NY and four grandchildren.

Roddy was my lone uncle, a good friend and my big brother when I was a boy. He will be remembered often and missed forever.
Mack was like a father to us! He showed so much love and compassion for EVERYONE!! He was such an amazing man! He will live on in our hearts forever!!! We Love You, Mack!!! Until we meet again, we know you’ll be watching over us!
