Ronald L. Penzik, 81, of Clearwater, FL died on Thursday morning, February 28, 2013 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
Ronald came here from his native Chicago, IL in 1996 where he retired as a Property Manager. He also was a Hotel Manager most of his career and recently worked for Autoways Nissan and Chevrolet in Clearwater. He was a Korean War veteran of the US Air Force. He was an avid sports fan especially the Chicago Cubs and Bears and he enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his son, Larry. Survivors include his two daughters, Cheryl (James) DellaValle of Pittsburgh, PA and Judy (Louie) Sammarco of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Lorraine (Sidney) Rudnick of West Palm Beach, FL; eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Sat., March 2 at the Cove Cay Country Club clubhouse, Village I at 2619 Cove Cay Drive, Clearwater 33760. Military Honors will be presented by the Pinellas County Veterans Council.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fisher House at Bay Pines or a charity of choice.

I am originally from Chicago as well,and worked with ron at autoway.We meet in the training class before they opened the Clearwater store in1997.From that moment on. we were like long lost brothers I will truly miss ron,he was a true national treasure. Best regards to his family. Alan mednis.
I worked with Ron at Autoway Nissan 2006. He was funny, genuine and my children and grandchild loved him! He was the one reason why myself and my family would stop in the sales building of Autoway while we waited for our cars to get serviced. Ron you had a great heart, and a kind spirit We will miss you!
