Aleman, Rufino, 87, of Tampa died Dec. 12, 2007 at Melech Hospice House, Temple Terrace under the care of LifePath Hospice. Born in Isabella de Sagua, Cuba, he moved here from New York City in 1972. He served in the US Merchant Marines for 25 years and was a veteran of WWII. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping, reading and cooking, playing Dominoes and dancing.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Esmeralda; his two sons, John and Robert; two daughters, Yolanda Suarez and Sonia Aleman; two sisters, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at St. Paul?s Catholic Church, Carrollwood on Monday, Dec. 17th. Interment will follow at FL National Cemetery, Bushnell. View the full obituary and online registry at www.veteransfuneralcare.com .
