Terrance L. Ryan, 67, of Clearwater, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19th, while in the compassionate care of the staff at Hospice House at Woodside, in Pinellas Park, FL.
Terry, as he was known by family and friends was born in Connersville, IN. Terry served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966 as a military policeman and was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. While in the Army, Terry met his first wife Barbara Carey of Tacoma, WA. After receiving his Honorable Discharge, Terry and Barbara moved to Portland, OR., where Terry worked as a salesman for Sherman Williams and later as a successful realtor for many years with Mayfair Realty, Alan C. Edwards and Oregon Realty. Terry moved to Clearwater, FL in 1985 where he met and was married to Ilona Prohaska for 6 years. He worked in sales and mortgage servicing until his retirement in 2001. Terry had a fantastic sense of humor and his many interests included cooking, softball, music and politics.
Terry was preceded in death by his father Emery Ryan and mother, Edna Ryan Cooley of Connersville Indiana. Terry is survived by his brother, Daniel Ryan, Highlands, NJ; son Patrick Ryan, Dunedin, FL; son Michael Kristin Ryan, Marysville, WA; son Daniel Terri Ryan, Palm Harbor, FL; 5 grandchildren Lucas, Melanie, Griffin, Trenton and Cameron.

To Terry’s Family…..Played ball with Terry and partied with him, Ivan, Tommy Oberg, Fred Freeman, Greg Smith, Jack McKinney, and many others from the “old days”, Paul Linn, etc…..He was a fun, great guy, and although our paths have not crossed in many years, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
