Thomas St. John

Thomas St. John

Veterans Funeral Care Thomas St. John

Thomas William St. John, 64, passed away on Sept. 19, 2007. He was born in Boston, MA., moved to Tampa in 1981, and later to St. Petersburg. He is survived by his wife Deborah; his two children: son Thomas Michael and his wife Karen, his daughter, Michelle St. John, all of Tampa; and his stepson, Christopher Barton, of St. Petersburg. Also surviving are Thomas and Michelle’s mother, Rose St. John, of Treasure Island; his two brothers, Michael St. John, of Tampa, and Wayne St. John, of Boston, MA, and his sister, Kathleen Holman, of Boston, MA. He was the proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Stephanie Kay, Thomas Michael Jr. TJ, Mitchell Jacob, Haley Sierra and Ian Thomas, all of Tampa. He was loved and admired by many more family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was a retired member of the Boston Police Department, and after moving to Tampa, he was a small business owner. He finally retired to St. Petersburg to pursue his real passion, fishing. He could spin a tall fishing tale with the best of them. His other passion was the Bucs; he enjoyed watching them through the good times and more often the bad times. Tom was known to all his friends as a nice guy. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, a bit of advice or any other help he could. He will be missed.
Memorial honors will be held on September 28, 2007 at 9:15am from Bay Pines National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater.
Should friends desire, donations may be made to the Gold Shield Foundation, P.O. Box 271791, Tampa, FL 33688-1791 in memory of Thomas W. St. John.
