Dear Debbie,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your time together with Tim was too short, and I’m sure you will miss him. I’m sorry we never got the chance to meet Tim. We will be thinking of you in the days and months ahead.
You are all in my prayers. Everything I ever heard about Tim was positive and I know you will miss him dearly.
Dear Debbie, We are so sorry for your loss. Sherman had the privilege of meeting Tim at the hospital. He was a brave and talented man. Darlene gave me his book and my wife and I were overwhelmed at his grasp of what was important in his life. He will be missed by many people.
Michelle and family, Tim lost his battle here but never sought anything less than God’s will in his life. His pain is over and now he will receive his reward! Please seek comfort in knowing he now sees Jesus’ precious face.
Love, Jerry & Brenda

Tim was my uncle. He was very funny and a true follower of God. I remember one time when he took me and my brother on a camping trip. It was really fun. When we heard a twig outside of the tent snap, Uncle Tim said it was Underware man in the trees. He said Underware man’s aunt used to tie him to a tree and whistle all day. Uncle Tim said that Underware man hated whistling ever since. So guess what Uncle Tim did….. he started whistling. He was the best uncle you could ever imagine.I will miss him with all of my heart.

We have had the priviledge of knowing Tim for 10+ years now. He is one of the most kind-hearted people we know, not to mention fun loving. He has a deep love for God and his family. We have lost a great man, but heaven is a better place with him there. Our hearts and prayers are with you Tya, Adam & family.
My Dear Brother and Friend, I will miss you with all my heart and soul. Not only were you my big brother but you were my best friend. You were my support, advisor, friend and spiritual lifter. You brought me to Christ and I will thank you my whole life for that. I was with you your last hours and seen how you suffered so and I thank God for taking you out of pain. You are flying on those eagles wings now Tim and I know you are smiling down on us. I love you Tim and will miss you always. Love Forever, Darlene

Every now and then in life you meet someone that has a special grace. Somebody that has such a calm about them and an appreciation of life, able to take the blessings and trials in stride, always a kind word for everyone regardless of how bad his day was. Tim was such a person, a true testament to those he held dear.
Even with his passing from this earthly existence and home to a much deserved rest, he will continue to be with us in many ways. The strength of character and purpose that he had in life has been passed on to his family and friends and is now a part of who we are, making us all more complete.
He served his God, his country and his family so very well. You will be missed, my brother, until we all see each other again.
To Tim’s family,
From my daily devotional calendar by Helen Steiner Rice, who has a heart felt way with words….
All who have God’s blessing can rest safely in His care,
For He promises safe passage on the wings of faith and prayer.
I believe Tim is home safely in God’s loving arms.
Please keep in mind that all of us at Crums Church in Berryville, Virginia are thinking of you and will continue to keep you in our prayers.
Michelle, I gave Zachary a hug for you and your whole family, let me know when you need more. Anything!
Love, Jo
you will never be forgotten
Dear Deborah and family,
We are truly sorry for your loss. Tim is in the Lord’s hands now and he is pain free. I understand that he was a positive person. May the Lord comfort you all!
Peace and Love,

My dear sweet brother, I will never forget you and the time when you were about 13 and you were “experimenting” and you singed your eyebrows and told me not to tell mom, like she wouldn’t know. I will always remember the great, spiritual loving person you were. We all have a purpose here on Earth, yours is now done. You have touch so many lives in such a short but powerful way. It is now your time to slip into your Heaven body and walk with Christ with no more pain and suffering. Until we meet again. With much love and respect, your sister Michelle
My condolence goes out to the people that had the opportunity to walk or cross Tim”s path.Especially the Matthew’s family. Tim you will be missed. And always loved.* . Kimmie
Sadly he was much too young, Too much singing left unsung, A fire that too soon went out, Faith undoubting, now with doubt. Again relearning how to grieve — Harder when those younger leave, Sad when leaving half a life, Family, friends, a child, a wife. The best of words are doomed to fail, Fate is cruel and man is frail; One never knows when purpose done — When death has finally won. Hold on to his memory, A thousand stories there may be; Though painful, we must not forget; His life on ours we owe this debt. Focus on that which is good, Forgive his faults, in Faith he stood; Laugh and love and learn and cry, Suppress no thing, dare ask why. His passing cut a life in half, Lives which are both wheat and chaff; Think of all which he hath brung, Taken from us much too young.
Our hearts go out to Deborah and Tim’s family.Losing someone so young and so full of life is terrible. There are no words to express so much sorrow that fills our hearts.
Tim was a very special neighbor. He was always there to help, whether running over to stop our house alarm or giving us advice on how to tend roses. He told us “Roses are like women, they love to look pretty”
We will miss him very much.He is in a better place now with his savior and his suffering is over. His spirit will live forever!
To my brother in Christ, Tim We have shared so many wonderful memories together thru the years that I will always cherish. We all love you so much and our hearts weep for what we have lost, but I know your soul is smiling now for what you have found. No more pain,no more suffering, Eternal life with our Lord and Savior. I love you Tim and this is not Good-bye,but its See You Later my friend.
To Tim’s family- I attend Crums Church in Berryville with Michelle and her family and you all have been in my thoughts and prayers since the beginning of Tim’s battle. Although I did not know Tim personally, I certainly wish I had – his faith was amazing and inspiring. May God grant you all peace during this time. Love to all.
I didn’t know him very long but he left a lasting impression. His courage and love will be a gift I will do my best to greatly pass on. Your presents and smile will be missed but not forgotten.
My best memories of you uncle Tim is when you took TJ, Adam, Jamie and I to church on Sunday and then we’d stop by Hardies for roast beef sandwhiches after. We shared a lot of laughter and had some very deep conversations. I am greatful to the kindness and love that you showed Jamie, mom, and I when we were going through a rough time. But you taught me about faith and how no matter what that God is always with me and loves me for who I am. You also taught me about how the Lord tests our faith and puts us through challenges in our life to test our strength. You taught me a lot that helped shaped me into the person who I am today. Without you, I don’t think I would know the Lord as good as I do. And I know the Lord is with you now and you are at peace. Your memory will never be forgotten.
My deepest sympathies & prayers go out to the Matthews family and all that knew and loved Tim.
I don’t know that I had ever been in Tim’s presense, to not see him smile. The memory of him that will last in my mind will be of a light hearted, kind, smiling man. The footprint that he will leave behind on this Earth will remain in all of our hearts.

To my dear friend Darlene and the entire family: My prayers are being sent up for you today and will continue during this very difficult time.I can see what an amazingly person Tim was and regret that I never had the opportunity to meet him.God bless you all.
Deborah & family: We know the last few months have been filled with many emotions and you have had so many ups and downs as you and Tim weathered this illness and the eventual outcome. We do live in peace that we will once again see Tim in the future and all will be well. You have been robbed of many happy years of marriage and many happy moments, but youcan live with the memories that you have of Tim. You have kept up such great strength, Deborah, through this whole ordeal and have been an inspiration to us all with your Water Oak family. We love you and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Tim for years at Glessner in Hagerstown, MD. I knew Tim as a hard worker and a good person. I also was able to work with his son Adam. A testiment to his Father. My family’s deepest sympathies are with the Matthews family at this time of mourning.
Tim and I worked together for many years here in Hagerstown. He and his son Adam where both hard workers and it was a pleasure to work with them both. Many times Tim talked to me about his walk with the Lord and his faith. This was before I had renewed my relationship with God and all should be comforted that he is with our heavenly Father today and we will meet again some day.
I met Tim at Glessner Alarm in Hagerstown Md in 1999. He was one of the best co-workers I had. The only tech at the time that would do the grunt work just to let me learn the programing and deeper aspects of our field. I am sure he has had a huge impact on the path in my life at this point with my career. As others have pointed out on here he definitely had a strong relationship with God and was certain what was awaiting him after this life. I feel maybe I should have kept in contact more than I did now, this time in between our last meeting was completely a blink. I wish the best for his family and Adam if you read this I hope everything is fine with you and hope to see you soon.
