Veterans Funeral Care William Cantor

William Abraham Cantor, World War II electronics specialist, passed away at age 95 on July 10, 2007. Rose Cantor, his wife of 65 years was by his side, along with his identical twin sons, Philip and Franklin. His youngest son, James, died ten years earlier in California.

A longtime resident of Hartford, Connecticut, William owned and operated Bill’s TV when television was first marketed to the public. An avid sailor and gardener, he moved to Westbrook, Connecticut where his organic herbs, fruits and vegetables were ahead of the times. He retired to Gulfport, Florida where he loved working with his hands and was always repairing bicycles, configuring lawn mowers, and inventing new tools and household items.

His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife, twin sons, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In a letter he left behind for his family he wrote “be of good cheer always…”

Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760.
