William “Cotton” Koser, 67, of North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, September 13 at the American Legion Post 336, 5770 Bayshore Road, North Fort Myers, Florida 33917. Interment into the Sarasota National Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to the American Legion by going to:

William “Cotton” Koser , born William Paul Blacklock on May 7, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to Walter and Dorothy (Brock) Blacklock. At age 10, Cotton was adopted by his step-father, Edward Koser. Cotton served in the United Stated Army from September 7, 1967 – September 6, 1973, which included service in Vietnam. Cotton was honorably discharged from the Army at the rank of E-5 (Spec-5). For 7 years, starting on November 4, 1972 he was married Krystal Campbell of Columbus, Ohio. Cotton and Krystal had two children during this time, Tracy and Matthew. After service in the Army, Cotton was employed as an electrician. He enjoyed being an active member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles and Moose. He spent most of his time supporting the American Legion organization in several leadership roles. Some of Cotton’s favorite activities included; Riding motorcycles, games of chance, and enjoying a fresh cup of coffee with special friends each morning.
Cotton is survived by his daughter and son, Tracy (Koser) Rinehart and her husband Bradley of Aurora, CO., Matthew Koser and his wife Joanna, granddaughter Kayla of Beaumont, CA., his younger brother Randy Koser of Rittman, OH., two additional brothers (Unknown name), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jarrett (Reusser) in 2014. In addition to his relatives, Cotton is survived by a large group of friends that he considered family.
