William G. Culpepper, 75, of Seminole, FL, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System.
Born in Utica, NY, he was raised in St. Petersburg, FL. He was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School. He served in the US Marine Corps for four years, earning the rank of Corporal. Bill worked in construction as a mason and for Maher Chevrolet in St. Petersburg for many years. He was a member of MCL Det. #57, St. Petersburg.
Survivors include his two sons, Gary Culpepper of Oakland, CA and Brian Stevens of St. Augustine, FL; longtime companion of 37 years, Mary Emery; stepson, Peter Emery of Largo, FL; two stepdaughters, Robin Emery of St. Petersburg and Brooke Emery Leyh of Wachenroth, Germany; and five grandchildren, Alex Culpepper of Seattle, WA, Brenda Stevens of Jacksonville, FL, and Brian Stevens, USAF of Minot AFB, ND, and Ethan and Xingzhe.
Graveside Service with honors by Marine Corp League, Major Hickey Detachment #57 will be held at 12:45 PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL.
