Agnes Marie (Kovaleski) MEYER, “Aggie” 99, of Largo, FL, passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2021. She was born on June 22, 1922 in Fremont, OH to Edward and Julia (Gagnon) Kovaleski.
She attended St. Casimir Catholic Church and grade school and graduated from Ross High in 1941. Aggie worked in payroll at Erie Proving Ground during WWII and then at Howard Zink Company. She married to Allen Meyer in 1952, and moved to his hometown of Woodville, OH, where their two children were born. They later lived in Vernon, CT, and retired to Largo, FL, where she and Allen spent 34 wonderful years together until his passing in 2015.
Aggie loved reminiscing about her youth in the “Prairie” neighborhood of Fremont and good times spent with her Aunts Margaret and Helen and Uncle Al, the Zienta family, and friends Dorothy Brudzinski, Adeline “Kadler” Kadlubaski, Marie Matusak, Betty Fowler, and Doris Hetrick Faist, Aggie also sang in the church choir and played trumpet in the Our Gang Band. She enjoyed dancing at Rainbow Garden, playing bingo, cards and nickel slots, sewing and knitting, decorating, and being a homemaker.
She is predeceased by her parents, husband, sister Helen, and brothers and sisters-in-law Edward “Bud” and Betty, Robert “Bob” and Vickie, and Richard “Dick” Kovaleski. She is survived by son Allen “Mike” Meyer, daughter Nancy (Tom) Hall, granddaughter Dr. Toni (Tim) Hall-Hasse and their daughters Cree and Clare “Sailor,” grandson Matthew Hall, BSN and partner Leah Boris, BSN, sister-in-law Marilyn Kovaleski, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
