Alan Jasper Pedigo, 73, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on June 5, 2021 at the Bay Front Hospice, St Petersburg, FL with his family at his bedside after losing his battle with cancer. Alan was born on May 27, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jasper and Jane (Keller) Pedigo. Alan is the oldest of four brothers.
He will be missed by everyone who ever knew him. Alan served in the US Army and spent his civilian career working for the Department of Affairs Office in St Petersburg, FL. He moved to the local area in 1981 from Indiana. During his US army career, he was a linguist for the US Army specializing in the Chinese Mandarin Language Voice Interpreter language; was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Commendation Medal and qualified in the M14 Rifle as a Expert. He was a member of the AM Vets and of the Methodist faith.
Alan was a avid Star War fan and a collector of DC Comics. Dad was always starting a new project around the house but never finishing it. Survivors include his beloved wife of 53 years; Ginni Pedigo; children: Michelle and Daniel Pedigo, Alex Pedigo, Ayrias Pedigo, Aaron Pedigo, Elijah Pedigo, Keontae Pedigo, Jaquan Pedigo, Kaylee Pedigo, Jarvis Pedigo, Marlon Pedigo, Alice Pedigo and Chad Pedigo. Alan has 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many extended family from his time as a Foster Parent, who will always love him.
Funeral services are entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care with full military honors by the United States Army Funeral and Honors Team and American Legion Post 273 at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33744 on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 beginning at 1:00 PM.

Joe and I are very sad about the passing of Alan. We have known him many years. What I know about him
and seen he was always keeping busy either with the kids or working in the yard. I know his family will miss
him very much. Prayers for the family.
I went to high school and church with Alan and his family until he left Indiana. I have missed him over the years and will miss him. Thoughts and prayers to the entire family
