It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alicia “Ally” Thompson, a remarkable woman who embodied strength, resilience, and dedicated love for her family. Ally departed this world on June 29th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire and touch the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Ally’s life will be held on Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at Veterans Funeral Care- 830 N Belcher Road Clearwater, FL 33765. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, funeral service at 11:00AM and we will depart to Florida National Cemetery for a burial at 2:00 PM. The address to the cemetery is 6502 SW 102nd Ave Bushnell, FL 33513.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, a cause close to Ally’s heart. Rest in eternal peace, dear Ally. Your strength, love, and unwavering spirit will forever be cherished and remembered.
Alicia and I became friends when we were both studying social work at Meredith College. During one class our senior year, we had to share about what was happening in our field placement. She had been chased by chickens during a home visit. I can still see her smiling face as she told that story. She made college more fun, and I am thankful to have known her beautiful spirit. My sincerest condolences to all her family and friends. I pray peace and comfort overwhelm you all as you grieve.
