Anthony Gabriel Sendrowski, 93, of Largo, FL, Passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the Sable palms Health Care Center in Largo. He was born in 1923 in Clinton, MA. He moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1978 and then to Sun City Center in 1999.
After high school, he entered World War II when he enlisted United States Navy and served as a Bugler 1st Class on the USS Mobile, a light cruiser. He married Frances Karsonovich in Farrell, PA on September 24, 1948. They had met a year earlier when they were both in a wedding party. Their first home was in McDonald, OH and then they moved to Clinton in 1955. They moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1978 and then to Sun City, FL in 1999.
A salesman by profession, his love of and his avocation in music secured him a job in music sales, which he thoroughly enjoyed until his retirement. He played lead trumpet in orchestras and big bands through his life into his golden years. He loved to play tennis and was an avid home chef. He was a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Polish-American Club, and was an acolyte and usher at Prince of Peace Church in Sun City Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Stephanie Sendrowski and his loving wife, Frances. He is survived by his daughters, Denise Noble of Largo, FL, Joni Logan of San Diego, CA and Julie Mills of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Cheryl Dion of St. Petersburg, FL and Tim Pulnik of Apopka, FL; and great-grandchildren, Brady and Aubrey Dion of St. Petersburg, FL.
He will be interred in Bay Pines National Cemetery with Military Honors at 12:45PM on Monday, May 15, 2017.
