Anthony Ralph Guglielmo, 66, of Clearwater, FL, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2014, at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. He was born in Manorkill, NY, and had lived in Florida since 1991..
He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps 1970 through 1976. During his time in the Corps, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a Rifle Sharpshooter. After leaving the military, he spent time as a policeman and a Postal Worker.
Anthony was a man who enjoyed life and loved people. To him, everyday was a holiday and he helped out everyone. He loved to fish, loved NASCAR (especially Richard Petty), and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and their former coach, Tom Landry. Being the good Italian, he loved to cook and was well known for his Eggplant Ptarmigan and Lasagna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Francis Guglielmo; He is survived by his wife, Sherry; sons, Mike and Chris; brother, Ralph; sisters; Patty, Maryann, and Carol; grandchildren, Baylee, Joey, CJ, and Aubree; and many friends.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Gulf Coast Church located at 13301 Walsingham Road, Largo, FL 33774. A visitation will be held at 10:00AM and will be followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM. At 2:30PM, there will be a service at Florida national Cemetery located in Bushnell, FL. The Military Honors Ceremony will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honors and Ceremony team. Following the ceremony, he will be interred at the cemetery.
After meeting your son, I wish I had met you. As a father who is proud of my two sons, and one that followed me into my work, I know you are proud of your “USMC son.” He is a good man. Thank you for your service to our flag, our nation, and the Marine Corps🇺🇸
