Anthony Raymond Budroe, Sr., 72, of Dunedin, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 20015 at Brookside Hospice House, Palm Harbor, under the care of Suncoast Hospice.
Anthony was born on December 11, 1942 in Portland, ME to the late John A. Sr. and Edith I. (nee DiPietro) Budroe. He married Tamara L. Hopkins on July 22, 1963 after he was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1960.
Anthony enjoyed all sports, including golf, baseball, softball, bowling, basketball, football, fishing and NASCAR. He was a lifelong NY Giants, NY Yankees, and Jeff Gordon fan.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Delores Budroe; his niece, Barbara Johnston; and two nephews, John M. Budroe and James Langley, Jr. Survivors include his two daughters: Denise M. (Kenneth Nelson) Budroe of Griswold, CT and Tammy L. (Julie Vogelgesang) Budroe of Columbus, OH; son, Anthony R. (Rochelle) Budroe, Jr. of Macedonia, OH; two brothers, John A. of Saco, ME and James E. Sr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; five grandchildren: Michell, Anthony, and Briana Budroe, Jennifer Deah, and Elizabeth Parker; five great grandchildren: Kayleigh Parker, Isaiah Capps, Alivia Nunez, Ryan and Ryleigh Parker-Clark; his aunt, Orienda Chambers; mother in law, Evelyn Renna; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, FL and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Aunt Tammy Denise Tony & Tammy Lynn I am sorry for your loss. We visited with Uncle Anthony last winter had a wonderful time he had the biggest heart loved life sports family friends. We shared lots of laughs over the years he will be missed in this life but we will laugh again in the next life.
