His lifetime passion for fishing was at its zenith while living in Minnesota. Arden and Betty returned to Indiana where he started his elementary education career of 40 years. These hobbies ranged from playing chess and Nintendo, to making sugar crystals.

Arden’s life was one of fierce commitment to his values. Honesty, integrity and loyalty were of great importance to him. He exemplified this in his life with his family, friends, students and his Lord. Arden had a love of God and the scriptures, in his later years he greatly enjoyed drawing on his college training in Greek and thrived on a good exegesis teaching from the original text.

Arden & Betty retired to North Redington Beach, Florida in 1994 where they thrived and celebrated the latter season of their 70-year marriage. Arden also cherished the relationships developed and the time spent as a part of the community at First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks.

Arden loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by them.
