Dize, Arline Mary Jones 76, of Saint Petersburg, Florida passed away on March 17, 2020 surrounded by her loving family and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Arline, who was a true Florida Cracker, was born in Jacksonville Beach, Florida in 1943, and soon moved residence to Clearwater, Florida where she grew up, and was a graduate of Clearwater High School. Soon after graduation Arline met the love of her life on a blind date, Thomas “Wes” Dize, while working at the Burger King on Gulf to Bay in Clearwater. A year after courtship they tied the knot on August 24, 1963 and were married for 56 years. Arline was a wonderful mother raising 3 boys of her own and a mother figure to so many others. She was active in her faith and was a member of The Church of God of the Union Assembly. Her smile, joy, and laughter reflected her dedication to the Lord, family and friends.
Arline was predeceased in death by her parents Carl and Margaret Anderson, Peryl and Opal Jones, sister Juanita “Nita” Dubay, brother in laws John Dubay and Francis “Bud” Weber. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas “Wes” Dize (St. Petersburg, FL); sons Shane & Hope Dize (Greenville, SC), Jason & Jennifer Dize (Port Richey, FL), Creston & Crystal Dize (Clearwater, FL); sisters Jenny & George Meers (Lutz, FL) and Phyllis Weber (Auburndale, FL); (6) grandchildren Amber, Wesley, Mariska, Kaitlyn, Starlyn, and Olivia; many nieces and nephews; countless friends who she considered family.

This is heart breaking to know that she is gone and that we will never see her smiling face at Church. But knowing she is in Heaven make it a lot sweeter. Love and prayers to all her family and our Church family she will be missed greatly.

Arline became your friend the moment you met her. She became my daughter’s hero and mother-in-law. She was a good Christian and is now whole once more in the presence of her Savior. I can only imagine the celebration that Heaven had when this dear lady entered the gates. “Well done thou good and faithful servant”!

Whenever my daughter and I would visit with Uncle Wes and Aunt Arline, we always felt like we were home! We will always hold very fond memories of joy laughter and love with Aunt Arline ❣️
