Barbara Lee (Sinnard) Malzhan, age 73, passed away unexpectedly; yet, peacefully on March 10, 2016, in Largo FL, while enjoying her winter vacation.
Barb, Mom, and Nanny, being just a few of the names given to her, always exuded her love for people with a hug-n-kiss included towards many, but most of all she gave her heart, and unconditional love to her three children. “Mom” has left behind a lot of wonderful memories including Green Lake knowledge, history, memorabilia, and lots of stuff, a ton of love, and even more stuff.
Barb, being a Green Lake County native, having lived the majority of her life in Green Lake, WI is best known for her inspiring work ethic, and “open door policy”. Her fondest work memories include the many years of waitressing she endured at Tuscumbia Country Club, and her wonderfully known cooking skills at Adam’s Rib, when after seventeen- plus years Barb finally “took her work shoes off and put on her Kinos fulltime”.
Barb was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Mary Sinnard, Aunt Louise Gibson, and her two Brothers, Bill Gibson, and Larry Sinnard.
Barb is survived by her three children: Robert “Butch” (Sandi) Malzhan of Green Lake, WI; Bradley Malzhan of Green Lake, WI; and Beth Schultz (Curtis Wallace) of Largo, FL. Five grandchildren: Melanie (Dale) Boyd of Auburn, WA; Ian Malzhan of Ripon, WI; Christopher Malzhan of Ripon, WI; Cass (Mike) Kuehn of Beaver Dam, WI; and Dakin (Francine) Schultz of Madison, WI. Two step-grandsons: Paul Krueger, and Lee Krueger of Albuquerque, NM; and one Step-Granddaughter Kimberly Krueger of Green Lake, WI. Three great grandchildren: Brody Boyd, and PJ Boyd of Auburn WA, and Aiko Kuehn of Beaver Dam, WI, and three step-great grandchildren: Alexandria, Matthew, and Ava Krueger of Green Lake, WI. And let us not forget Henry and her “damn ducks” along with the countless number of strays she took into her home.
A Celebration of Life for Barb will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Adam’s Rib from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Family and friends are also encouraged to visit Barb’s virtual guestbook at www.veteransfuneralcare.com.
Butch, Brad and Beth: I am so so sorry for your loss. I remember working with your Mom at Tuscumbia. She always had a smile and a hug. I hope memories and stories of your mom will bring more laughter than tears. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. She will be missed.
Through the many years of knowing Barb at either Juliette Manor Nursing Home visiting her Mom, Whom I cared for when I worked there for several years and at Adams Rib when she was cooking in the kitchen. She always had to say hi no matter what, when we came to eat at Adam’s Rib. She was a very warm hearted person whom had a special place in our heart. We do not think she had a mean bone in her body!!! Always had a warm smile every time. It was sure a shock to hear of her passing but truthfully it is the best way to go. Even though it is harder for the family cause goodbyes can’t be said, there is no suffering which is the best and we all wish that we can go this way. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Butch, Brad and Beth with the loss of their Mom, best friend and the many memories they will have. Also to the rest of the family. If there is anything that we can do please let us know and we will be there to help you.
So very sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. Our deepest sympathy to Beth and the family.

I have very fond memories of Barb and the hours we spent working together at the Heidel house. She was both a mother figure and friend. Great woman!
So sorry for your loss. Barb was a wonderful woman. I worked with her at Tuscumbia in the goods days and enjoy our walks in the snow. She will be missed by many.
