Beverly Ann Froncillo

Beverly Ann (Greenup) Froncillo

December 12, 1932 – February 27, 2019

Beverly Ann (Greenup) Froncillo, 86, passed away in Sun City Center, Florida, on February 27, 2019. Beverly (Bev) was loved by her family.  All who knew her experienced the pleasure of being in her company. Bev found joy in spending time with her family and friends.  She especially enjoyed and looked forward to the preparations and celebrations of the holidays.

Bev was born in Bismarck, North Dakota and spent her youth in North Dakota and Montana.  Later, she settled in Seattle, Washington with her parents, Clyde Greenup and Verna (Bilden) Greenup, her brother Clyde (Bud), her sister, Marge, and her brother, Gary.

Bev met her husband, Riccardo (Rick) Froncillo at a USO dance when Rick was in the Air Force. After their marriage, Beverly relocated to Rick’s home in New England.  They loved to dance and spend time playing cards and socializing with family and friends on the weekends. She and Rick remained in Warwick, RI until they relocated to the west coast of Florida where she lived until her final days.

Some of Bev’s favorite pastimes were bowling, bingo, gardening and traveling. Vacations were always a favorite time for her. She went on several cruises with Rick, and later in life, with her daughter, Andrea. Bev traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada annually for family reunions with her siblings, nieces and nephews and could often be found at the slot machines late into the evening. She loved to play bingo and often spent evenings playing it with her friends. Bev was an avid bowler in her earlier years and a member of a bowling league.  It is not surprising that she discovered Wii bowling recently and became a fan again.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Julie and husband, John Del Deo of Richmond, RI; son Tony Froncillo and wife Jeanette, of Largo, Florida; and daughter Andrea and husband, David Harkins of Tucson, Arizona. Beverly was grandmother to 8 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

To know Beverly was to love her. Her kindness and compassion have left a lasting impression on us all. Mom, we hope you and Dad are dancing once again.  You will be forever in our hearts.
