Beverly Jean Harvell


Beverly Jean Harvell passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Richard and Jean Cheeseman. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her savior and was a member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida for over 50 years. In her younger days, Beverly volunteered in many capacities at the church. She also was a very talented athlete who excelled at fast-pitch softball, bowling, tennis and golf. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, puzzles, traveling, and playing card games like bridge. Beverly met her husband, Jim, as he was finishing up his active duty in the Navy in California. In less than three months, they fell in love and got married. They moved to Virginia where they had two daughters, Kelly and Kerry, and in 1963, they moved to Florida where they had a third daughter, Kathy. Beverly had a very good life, was married to Jim for 57 years, and was well-liked by so many wonderful friends. She will be missed greatly by her surviving daughters, Kelly Gonzalez, Kerry Irvin and Kathy Gilbert, Kelly’s husband, Alex and their son, Matthew, Kerry’s daughters, Sarah and Kaitlyn and their husbands Eric and Max, and Kathy’s husband, Michael and their sons, Nathan, Zachary, and Cannon, and Zachary and Cannon’s wives, Samantha and Amanda, and Beverly’s great grandchildren, Genevieve, Aidan, and Elijah. A memorial service will be held at graveside at the Bay Pines national Cemetery at a later date.
