On June 10, 1978, Beverly married the love of her life, Michael Druffel, at the Des Plaines Church of Christ. Together, they walked hand in hand through life’s journey for nearly 48 beautiful years. Beverly and Michael’s marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, one that saw them live in various places across the United States, including New York, New Jersey, Maine, Texas, California, Massachusetts, and finally, Florida.
Beverly was blessed with two devoted daughters, Kristie Leigh Walker and her husband, Shawn Walker, and Jennifer Dawn Reed and her husband, Chris Reed. Her heart swelled with pride and joy from her role as a grandmother to Brody Walker, Declan Walker, Isley Walker, Ethan Reed, Taggart Walker, Shamus Walker, and Kennedy Reed. Her family was her greatest treasure.
Her professional life was as impressive as her personal one. Beverly worked diligently at Westfalia Airlines in Chicago and later at both Continental Airlines and United Airlines. Her career was marked by her dedication, professionalism, and the friendships she cultivated along the way.
A proud member of the Indian Rocks Baptist Church, Beverly’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. Her relationship with Christ was her proudest achievement, one she nurtured with her involvement in Bible studies and church activities. She was also a member of the Cherokee Tribe World Traveler, reflecting her adventurous spirit and love for exploration.
Beverly had a zest for life that was truly inspiring. She found joy in bicycling, cruising, boating, and spending leisurely days at the beach. Perhaps her most cherished pastime was spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
