Bob Brill, age 90, died Thursday, March 3, 2016. His life began in Austin, Texas on October 19, 1925 where he was born to Arno William and Kathleen (Inks) Brill. Bob was raised in the Lake Travis area. Only a few months after turning 17, Bob made the decision to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corp; serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge in December of 1945. After the Marine Corps, Bob graduated the University of Tulsa with a degree in geology. At 38, Bob moved his family to Littleton, Colorado where he worked as a Petroleum Geologist. He is preceded in death by wife Alice Adele in 2009, brother Bill Brill and sister Ida Nell Connally. Left to cherish his memory are sons Robert Brill (Ruth) of Lawrence, KS and Ric Brill (Bonny) of Parker, CO; daughter Kathleen Brill Riley of Dallas, TX; sister Kathleen “Sheba” Stephens of Sherman, TX; grandchildren Sara, Robbie, Shannon, Connor, Nick, Ben, Kristin and Katherine; great grandchildren Silas, Oscar, Eli, Sophia, Madeleine and an additional baby on the way! A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home. A committal service with Military Honors at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery will commence following the service at 1:30 pm. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on prior to the service, 11am Wednesday, March 9th.

Kathy (Katie), So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing, what fond and happy memories I have of him! Going down on the Platte river and helping us look for geodes, fishing for the first time with him, and all the day trips in the mountains hiking and enjoying the outdoors.
