Bonnie E. Verro was born on October 7, 1953, and passed away on June 19, 2025, of pancreatic cancer with her family by her side.
Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Gordon, daughter Karen Martin of St. Petersburg, Florida, and son, Kevin Verro of Chattanooga, Tennessee, along with five beautiful grandchildren, Hannah, Joel Jr., and Samuel Martin, Sandra (Sandy), and Kyle Verro, as well as her son-in-law Joel Martin and daughter-in-law Danielle Verro.
A proud Floridian born in South Miami, Bonnie graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High School Class of 1971, married 53 years to her high school sweetheart, Gordon, and retired from AT&T (Southern Bell, Bell South) telephone company with 30 years of service. Swim-mom, Band-mom, Girl Scout Leader, and Traveler. Bonnie enjoyed family, friends, sailing, RVing, and a good book. In recent years, Bonnie enjoyed the discovery of the Rocky Mountains, lakes, streams, waterfalls, deserts, forests, and historic places around the country. Her plans for the summer of 2025 were to start a year-long journey to visit Alaska, the Canadian Rockies, and the northwest United States. Her wishes and advice to all our friends were to “Plan your dreams. Live your dreams and go now.” In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Moffitt Cancer Hospital in Tampa, as they took phenomenal care of Mom.
My sincere condolences to the family. RIP Bonnie.💐🙏🏾

Just read this on Facebook I am so in shock. I had no idea she had pancreatic cancer, Gordon my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Is there anything I can do for you?
Bonnie was a great woman. Have known her since I met Gordon in junior high school. We visited couple times over these years. But have always been in contact via Facebook. They stopped by here last year in their motorhome,in Sharpsburg Ga, for a few days for my 50th wedding anniversary to Karen. Great visit. We took them out to eat at Nick & Norman’s. Producer and main character of The Walking Dead restaurant. They really enjoyed that. I am very sad that she did not make Alaska. She and Gordon will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Bonnie
