Brian Robinson

Brian “Cru” Kenneth Robinson, 79, of Pinellas Park, FL, passed away at home on September 16, 2023. Brian was born on April 28, 1944 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Son of late Emma G. (Billow) and William H. Robinson Sr.

Brian is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha R. Lieber, married in 1969 at the Church of the Transfiguration. They have two children, Donna and Shane (Laura) and three amazing grandchildren, Logan, Shea and Kenney. Brian and his grandkids were very close. He and Martha regularly attended their many sports and other events. They all loved vacationing together. Martha and Brian spent 20 years RVing and took the grandkids along as much as possible.

Of his many accomplishments, Brian was most proud of being a US Marine. He achieved an E-5 rank and received numerous awards: Bronze Star for Vietnam Service, National Defense Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, as well as several Vietnam Foreign Awards. And those of us who knew the mischievous Brian, would question how he managed to be awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, but he did, in fact, receive it. “Cru” worked at MacDill Air Force Base as a Civil Engineer Squadron Mason and received the Skilled Craftsman of the Year Award and the CES Civilian Technician of the Year Award. He said working for MacDill and those serving our country is something he was proud to do. He was a true, loyal patriot.

Brian was a friend to everyone. His construction and handyman work can be found in the homes of many of these friends and family. Brian is survived by his special Stepmom, Louise Peil, brothers Bill Robinson (Ina) and Roy Robinson, sisters Joan Euker (Joe), and Rosemary Diehl, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Ronnie Robinson.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, October 3rd, 10am at St. Catherine Siena Catholic Church, 1955 S Belcher Road, Clearwater, where Brian was a member. Followed by a Military Honor service, 12:30, at Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg.
