Carmine Capparello Jr.


Carmine Capparello Jr., age 71, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on May 20, 2026, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 19, 1954, in Gloversville, New York, the son of the late Carmen Capparello Sr. and Mary E. Capparello (Lampman).

Carmine was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his son, Carmine Capparello III (Cindy); daughters, Tonya Capparello, Mary, and Andrea; his brother, John Capparello (Antionette); his sisters Tina Pabis (Mark), Toni Capparello, and Mona Jennings (Theodore); half-sister Billie Jo Quinn (Nathan); step-sisters Tammy Scribner, Sherry Kolacki (Michael) and Lisa Quinn (Jason); and his step-brother Glen Scribner (Jessica). Carmine was cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends, as well as by his beloved cat, CC.

He was preceeded in death by his sisters Linda Wallach, Michelle Winney (Mike), Bonnie Adams, Angie Lucas, and Emma Christman; his stepmother Ann Capparello.

Throughout his career, Carmine worked for Advance Data Associates. He was a proud and active member of VFW Post 9272 in Seminole, Florida, and a member of St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

Carmine found great joy in spending time with his family and friends, especially Bobby and Gail. He enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke at the VFW, making his famous pasta sauce, and watching the ocean with Giuliana. His proudest achievements were the success and happiness of his children and the close bonds he maintained within his large family.

Those who knew Carmine will remember him for his outspoken sense of humor, generous spirit, and unwavering love for those around him. His warmth, laughter, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His beloved cat, CC, was a constant companion and brought him immense comfort and joy.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cassandra at Veterans Funeral Care, the compassionate staff of Saint Mary’s Palliative Care Unit, and his close friends Bobby, Gail, and Lisa for their care, support, and friendship during his illness.

A memorial Mass will be held on July 11, 2026 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 151 South Main Street, Gloversville, New York, at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at Antlers Country Club, 2258 NY-5, Fort Johnson, New York 12070.

Carmine’s family and friends will forever treasure the memories of his laughter, generosity, and the love he shared so freely with all who knew him.
