Carolyn Katherine Bernaski, 83, wife of John Bernaski Jr. of St. Petersburg, passed away on February 24, 2016.
Carolyn was born on July 21, 1932 in Mebane, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Lewis F. Dorsett and Frankie Carr Dorsett.
She was a hair stylist and loved singing and dancing. She sang in the” Sweet Carolines”. She enjoyed swimming and taking cruises. Her family remembers her as a “people person”. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband:, Arnold Riker; her second husband: John A. Bernaski Jr., one brother: Red Dorsett and one sister: Rosie Morlock.
Survivors include one daughter: Pamela Rinker of St. Petersburg, Florida, and her boyfriend Jim Winfield, who lovingly referred to Carolyn as “Jellybean”; four sons: Keith Rinker and his fiance’, Laura Parish of Largo, Florida, Kevin Rinker of St. Petersburg,and Arnold Rinker and his wife, Linda of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren: Nicolas Drosis and his girlfriend, Olesya Rafikoza of Tampa, Cade Rinker of St. Petersburg, Lucas Rinker, Nicole Rinker, and Kaitlyn Rinker all of Pennsylvania, as well as three great-grandchildren: Gisel Drosis, Zehra Rahmman, and Jayden Timothey Rinker-Bond.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Bay pines National Cemetery. Friends and family wishing to attend this service may meet directly at the cemetery.
