Charles “Charlie” Jones, 82, of Largo, FL passed away at home on Monday, February 9, 2026 surrounded by family. He was born on January 24, 1944 in Alabama to Sam & Pearl Jones. He was a member of Missouri Baptist Church for over 50 years. Charlie served in the US Armed Forces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth N Jones; son, Kenny Jones (Tammy); daughter Karen Jones; brother Ed Jones; sisters, Juanita, Phyllis, Donna, Sherry, and Patricia; Several nieces and nephews; grandchildren Jordyn, Jensyn, and Tyler; 6 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00am with reception to follow at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 N Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765.

I remember when Charlie and Ruth started attending our church. They came as a result of our bus ministry. I believe Pam Roberts was instrumental in encouraging them to attend. They ended up being good workers at Missouri Avenue, as well as 60th Street Baptist. They became great friends of my family down through the years. The memories of spending time with this family will never be forgotten.
