Charles Drew Hulslander, 72, of Largo Florida died on December 13th, 2023 at his home following a long, courageous battle of military service-related conditions. On June 16th, 1951, Charles was born in Clearwater, Florida. The son of James Clinton Hulslander and Mercedes Hazel Hulslander. On September 24th, 1998, he married his wife, Michele Lee Flemm-Hulslander, in St. Petersburg, Florida and they were together for 25 years. After serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1978, he worked in the automotive industry as a master mechanic, service manager, and fleet coordinator. He is known for his willingness to sacrifice for his family, his country, and the United States Marine Corps. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mercedes Hulslander, and his sister, Maggie. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michele, and his blended family of biological, adopted, and stepchildren. Christopher (Inverness, FL) Phillip (Ocala, FL), Amanda (Kansas), Natalie, Priscilla, Mya (Largo, FL) Shane (Kentucky), Aaron, Robyn (California), Richard (Largo, FL). His siblings Scott (Texas), Clinton (Deland, FL), Jamie (Orlando, FL), and 11 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held in his honor at Veterans Funeral Care 830 N. Belcher Rd. Clearwater, FL 33765, on January 8th, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with an interment to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery with funeral honors provided by the Marine Corps.”
