Charles Elda Brian Gardiner

Brian Gardiner of Largo, Florida will be remembered as a devoted husband, beloved family member, proud veteran, and faithful follower of Christ whose presence brought comfort, strength, and love to those fortunate enough to know him.
Brian served his country in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1981. Following his military service, he enjoyed a long and successful career with AT&T, where he was respected for his dedication and professionalism.
One of the most meaningful moments of Brian’s life occurred in 2025 when he publicly dedicated his life to Jesus Christ through baptism in the Gulf of America. His faith brought him peace, purpose, and hope, and it became an important part of his life’s journey.
Brian was a man of many interests and talents. An avid reader, devoted music lover, passionate sports fan, and accomplished chef, he embraced life with curiosity, enthusiasm, and creativity. Whether enjoying a good book, listening to music, cheering on a favorite team, or preparing memorable meals for family and friends, Brian found joy in sharing his passions with others. His warmth, generosity, and ability to bring people together made every gathering more meaningful.
Brian is survived by his wife, Agnes Gardiner of Largo, Florida; his stepdaughters, Michelle Gould (Danny) and Brittany Erickson (Jimmy). Brian cherished his role in their lives and was a proud grandfather figure to Michelle’s children, Titan, Story, and Atlas, and Brittany’s son, Everett. He is also survived by his nieces, Katrina Trexler and Kendra Granado (Matt), of Atwater, California and their children, Matthew, Tatum, and Benjamin.
Family was at the center of Brian’s life. He valued the relationships he built over the years and took great pride in the accomplishments and happiness of those he loved. His kindness, steady presence, generosity, and caring nature left a lasting impression on family and friends alike.
Brian’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the memories he helped create. He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and affection by all who knew him. While his absence will be deeply felt, his family finds comfort in the faith he embraced and the enduring love he shared with those around him.
A memorial service will be held at Veterans Funeral Care on [Date] at [Time]. Following the memorial service, a graveside interment with military honors will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
