Charles Wray Randhan, 91, of Orlando, Florida funeral service is 10:30 AM, Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Lockhart Baptist Church, 7601 Edgewater Lane, Orlando, Florida 32810 with Dr. Robert Arnold, to officiate. At the conclusion of the service, the VFW Post 2093 will provide post honors. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will be at 2:30 PM, Friday, May 8, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, 6602 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with full military honors being conducted by the US Army Funeral and Honors Team supported by the VFW Post 10209.
A native of Griffith, IN and a local resident since 1986, when he moved to Orlando from FT. Pierce, FL; he was a retired air conditioning technician for the Marriott Hotel chain; a member of the Lockhart Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran of World War II.
During Charles military career, he was promoted to the rank of Tech 5; served in Northern France; the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded American Theater Ribbon; EAME Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars; World War II Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Preceded in death by his parents; George and Doris (Wray) Randhan and a son, Charles W. Randhan Jr.; Charles is survived by his loving family: his wife, Electa Randhan of Orlando, Florida; sons; Michael Randhan, Jon Randhan and his wife, Jeannie and David Randhan and his significant other, Bonnie Bury, all of Orlando, Florida; a daughter, Judith Ireland and her husband, Ted of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Gerald Randhan and his wife, Shirley of Las Vegas, Nevada; twelve (12) grandchildren, (15) fifteen great grandchildren and (1) great-great grandchild.
