Clare M. Book, 84, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2023. Clare was born in New Castle, PA. He served in the Army and that is where he met and married his wife Dorothy. He had two sons, Eric and Brian and a daughter Belinda. He had five grandsons and one great granddaughter. Clare was always so loving and proud of his family. Clare was the eldest and was predeceased by his younger four brothers. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Clare went on to work for Verizon and eventually retired after 31 years of service.
A Celebration of life, will be held on Saturday, July 8th at 10:00 am, at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 North Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765.
I will miss you my friend but have many memories of you.
First met Clare Book and family over 40 years ago when I moved to Florida from New York to marry my husband Dennis Laun. They worked together at GTE which became Verizon and were very good friends. Clare and family warmly welcomed me into their life. He is fondly remembered.
