Clarence Herman “Red” Nuckles, 77, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 18, 2018, at the Florida South Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He was born in Danville, VA, and was one of six children.
Red served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was an M-1 sharpshooter. His children also served in the military.
Following his service time he became an auto mechanic and made a career of it. He loved watching sports, especially Nascar racing and his all time favorite race car driver was Dale Earnhardt.
He really liked sitting on his porch, with his best friend Bill, listening to country music and drinking Busch beer. Red also loved his Pekingese dogs and he had a cat named Mia. He was member of the Sanford Moose Lodge. Red was married twice. First to Shirley, (mother of Robert, Mike and Sharon) and then to Charlotte “Flo” Stacey and was a step-father to her children Randy and Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Okie and Helen Nuckles; his son, Mike; and his brothers, Kenneth and Ronnie. He is survived by his son, Robert; daughter, Sharon; sisters, Mary, Vern and Carolyn; grandchildren, Christopher and Thierry; many nieces and nephews and many friends.
A service with Military Honors will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Florida National Cemetery. The cemetery is located at 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.

Sympathy to entire family. It was a wonderful obituary and we learned so much about him. I am amazed he was a sharpshooter!!! We will absolutely be there on Friday to celebrate his life with his family
