Earl Curington, 89, passed away on January 21, 2021, in Largo, FL. He was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, and graduated from Central High School in 1950. Afterwards, he joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA, and was honorably discharged in 1956. Earl was a salesman at Frito Lay and retired from there. He enjoyed all sports and was a big fan of Tennessee Volunteer football. He and his wife Barbara moved from Tennessee to Spruce Creek Preserve, Dunnellon, Florida, where they enjoyed playing golf and attending social events at the community center there.
Earl is survived by his wife of 70 years Barbara Curington; son and daughter-in-law Chip and Brenda Curington, Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter Christin Curington, Arlington, VA; and sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Joe Grubb, Knoxville, TN.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Bessie Curington, Knoxville, TN.
Special thanks to the entire staff at The Barrington senior living facility and the entire team at Suncoast Hospice for all the love and care they provided.
Earl will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
We were so sorry to hear this sad news about Earl. We loved him and enjoyed spending time with him and Barbara when they would come in from Florida for visits.
They were a special couple and always so sweet together and you could tell they loved each other very much!

So sad to hear of his passing. We have so many happy memories with the two of you. Every dance he would request Rocky Top so Roger could clog along with him. What fun he was. Also, the cruise we went on together with others. Remember the top deck Barbara?

So sorry for your loss. Earl was a great guy. Dave and I enjoyed the SCP dances with you. What fun times we had. I still remember our visits to Largo to see you. He will be missed.
