aniel A. Godin was born on July 22, 1945 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Alden and Virginia (Barden) Godin. He passed away on October 3, 2017 at Northside Hospital. He was a 100% disabled veteran.
Family
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Ruth (Peters) Godin, son Michael Godin; daughters Erin Godin, Kristinna (Dario) Guimarqes, Michelle (Rick) Broadwater; sisters Bonnie (Larry) Rote, Diane (Jerry) Karol; grandchildren Jamie Varney, Aaron Broadwater, Troy Broadwater, Marcus, Phillip and Lillian Guimaraes.
Military
Dan joined the Air Force on July 12, 1966 in Jacksonville, Florida and was honorably discharged on July 10, 1970 at the rank of Sergeant. He was a B-52 mechanic. At the time of his honorable discharge Daniel was eligible to wear the National Defense Service Medal, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Good Conduct Award Medal on his uniform.
Services
A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Air Force from MacDill Air Force Base is scheduled for Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 2:15 pm at Bay Pines National Cemetery. All guests planning on attending should arrive at 2:00 pm.
