David D. Minary


David Don Minary, a beloved husband, brother, and dedicated worker, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at the age of 70 in Palm Harbor, Florida. He was born on August 4th, 1953, in Batesville, Indiana, to proud parents Don Herschel Minary and Dorothy Jean Clemenz.

David found his partner in Debra L. Jones, whom he married on February 14, 2024, creating a bond of love and companionship that enriched their lives.

In his professional life, David devoted 42 years of service to Sunstar Ambulances, where he exhibited unwavering commitment and compassion in his work, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Outside of work, David was a man of diverse passions. He found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, including fishing excursions, building his collection of cherished movies, strolling along the sandy shores, and indulging his love for comic book collecting. Among his favorite pastimes was witnessing the beauty of a captivating sunset, a sight that never failed to fill him with awe and appreciation.

David was not only known for his diverse interests but also for his infectious personality. His warm spirit and genuine kindness endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had an innate ability to bring smiles to people’s faces and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

David is survived by his wife, Debra L. Jones, and his brothers Dennis Minary, Danny Minary, and Douglas Minary, along with a host of extended family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

A military committal service to honor David’s service to his country will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with full Army honors, a fitting tribute to a life of dedication and service.

David’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace, forever cherished and remembered.
