Deborah Kay Rast , 65, of Port Richey, Fl returned to her heavenly home on June 24th, 2020. On July 8th, 1954 she was born in Chapmanville, West Virginia to the late Herman White and Lucille Polley. On September 28, 1973 she married Mark Rast at the Chapmaville, West Virginia Church of Christ and they shared 46 years together. Survivors include her husband Mark Rast, her sister Peggy Preece and Sister In Law Debbie White (brother’s wife). Daughters Crystal Bermudez (& son in law James Bermudez) and Alicia Rast. She left behind four grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Madison, and Eden.
Debbie was preceded in death by her brother Harold White.
Debbie served a lifetime as a homemaker. Mark always referred to her as a domestic goddess. Debbie not only was the mother to her two children but also had to fill the role of father while Mark was away serving his country.
Debbie loved to do jigsaw puzzles and could do a 1000 piece puzzle in a day. Debbie also loved spending time at the beach and you could easily find her there everyday during the summer. Debbie loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Debbie had a very big heart and was a very happy person and loved to laugh. Debbie always saw the good in everyone and even though she only birthed two children there were many who could call her mother.
Family and Friends are invited to an evening visitation & viewing at Veterans Funeral Care (830 N. Belcher Rd, Clearwater) on Tuesday June 30th from 6pm – 8pm. Her formal funeral ceremony will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL ( I-75, exit 309) on Wednesday July 1st, 2020 at 2:00pm. Masks will be required at both events, per NFDA and CDC guidelines.
Finally at rest and will be greatly missed. RIP Debbie.

Mark I am so very sorry for your loss. She has gone to a much better place but will be miss here on this earth. She was such a lovely person.
Blessed to have known you my dear sweet friend. You will never be forgotten….so many wonderful memories of happy times as well as the tough times, when you were always there for me.
