Delores M. Engelken, age 93, passed away in Largo, FL on December 19, 2023.
She was born on January 17, 1930 in Hollywood, CA. She was married to her husband of 59 years, Daniel Engelken, on May 2, 1964. She was very successful in real estate sales both in California and Florida. She worked for many years as a Broker in Seminole. She loved living at Seminole Square, participating in the welcome committee, lobby art displays, and many social activities. She also volunteered at Heritage Village and the VA Hospital Bay Pines. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Seminole, FL and was an active member of the Largo Cracker Quilters for many years and designed a quilt depicting the birds, sea life and places of interest in Pinellas County. It was completed by the quilt guild and hung in the international terminal of the St. Petersburg Clearwater terminal for many years. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Marguerite McCracken and George Marlin Dunn, as well as the couple who raised her, Mother and Daddy Wallace. She is survived by her caring husband, Dan Engelken, her sister-in-law, Joyce Engelken, and 23 of their nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM located at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 11565 66th Ave N, Seminole, FL 33772.
Followed by a funeral procession and interment at Bay Pines National Cemetery Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 2:30 PM located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33708.
