Dennis Irvin Little-US Army-Vietnam War Veteran
Dennis Little, 75, of Largo, Florida passed away on October 28, 2022 at the Accent Care-Oak Manor, Largo, Florida. He was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 17, 1947 to Eugene and Ruby (McEndarfer) Little. He served in the US Army and was awarded National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Dennis was a Flight Operations Specialist in the US Army and upon his Honorable Discharge in 1968 from Fort Wolters, Texas, he returned to South Bend, Indiana.
After high school, he spent his time on helicopters serving our country honorably in the Vietnam war. Upon returning home, if he wasn’t on the golf course, he spent time as DJ on the morning radio show RC & Denny In The Morning on the local WRBR radio station then went on the sell advertising for multiple television channels.
His passion always remained for the game of golf and he loved spreading his knowledge of the game through his time coaching high school students in Indiana. All of his students meant the world to him. Denny was also proud of his own PGA card and if you ever asked “did you get a hole in one?” He would respond “which time?”. Being loved by so many truly showed Denny’s character and kindness. He showed that most with his love to his family. He loved his roots and where he came from and his family he grew up with.
In his later years he truly showed his compassion for family to his wife of almost 22 years, Linda Little; daughter, Cady Fodrocy; son, Clayton Fodrocy and grandchildren, Lucas Dillon and Brooklyn Dillon. He loved them more than anything and anyone that knew him- knew how much they meant to him.
Full military honors will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM, January 13, 2023 at the Bay Pines National Cemetery, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, Florida with the American Legion Post 273 and the United States Army Funeral and Honors team.
