Donna Lynn Humphreys, 66, of Jasper, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6th, 2019 with family by her side. Originally from Goshen, Indiana, Donna was a daughter to (dcd) Roy and Betty Hedington.
Mrs. Humphreys enlisted in the US Army where she spent 17 years on active duty and 3 more in the National Guard, serving her country as a mechanic. During her military service, serving in both Desert Storm and Desert Shield, she earned numerous awards and commendations including: Valorous Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Marksman Badge M-16 Rifle, Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ 3 Bronze Service Stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal w/ 1 OLC, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband Warren Lee Humphreys, Sr.; son Bruce A. Galyean; brothers Billy, Tom, and Ricky Hedington; and beloved parents Roy and Betty Hedington.
She is survived by her two sons, Warren Lee Humphreys Jr. (Sandy) and Kevin Barritt (Jessie); daughter Terry L. Lanham (Ron); sisters Rose Lay and Jean Sherk; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Services and Ceremonies will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Friday, November 15th 2019 at 9:30 am. Attendees are asked not to arrive before 9:00 am. Funeral Honors will be performed by the United States Army Funeral Team and American Legion Post 125.
