Doris M. Gress 91, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away at Suncoast Hospice on May 16, 2020.
Doris was born on May 15, 1929 in Nyack, New York. Daughter of the late Edward Ganden and Edna
Ganden.
Doris was a caring and loving wife to her husband of 68 years, Robert, who preceded her in 2016.
As a mother her three children, Pat, Tom and Bill, were her main focus in life. She took care of all our
needs.
Her family remembers her as a loving, caring mother, and grandmother. Surviviors include, one daughter, Pat Gress and her companion, Sue Zimmer of St. Petersburg, 2 sons,
William Gress of Tampa and Thomas Gress of Seminole, Shelly Gress and Mark Gress and his wife, Katie
both of Tampa.
Doris will be laid to rest, next to her husband, at the Bay Pines National Cemetery.
My Dear Mama, I can’t believe in one week you were here and now gone. My heart aches as you were such a big part of my
daily life. We had some great times and lots of laughs. I know in the past six months all you wanted was be next to
Dad, it will be happening real soon. The other thing you talked about,was reaching your 91st birthday,and you made it Mama!! I love you so much with my all my heart. May you rest in peace Mama,I will never ever forget you and all the
great love you showed me. Your loving daughter, Pat.
It was with great honor to have had such a great neighbor, I will miss her dearly, couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor and friend, Pat and the family are in my prayers, rest on Mrs. Doris❤️.
