Doris R. Carey, 86, died Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 in Largo, FL. She was born on January 28th 1932 in Tuxedo, NY to Ralph and Edna Reynolds. Doris relocated from Monroe, NY to Florida in 1970. She was a loving Mother and devoted Homemaker. Preceded by her husband, John A. Carey Sr. and son, David G. Carey. Survived by her two sons, John A. Carey Jr. of Seminole and James E. Carey of St. Petersburg, two daughters, Edna Carey-Knigge of St. Petersburg and Joy Meinecke of Largo. A brother, Richard Reynolds of Central Valley, NY, two sisters Alene Champlain of Sarasota, FL and JoAnne Schmoeger of Central Valley, NY. She was blessed to have seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

Just returned from the beautiful tribute to Doris’ memory. Seeing the video of her life in pics was wonderful. What a shining light! A photo of my mom laughing with Doris brought back how they’ll be missed this Christmas. Two moms gone in 2018…may they rest in God’s peace and love.
