Dorothy Kodish, 97, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on July 26, 2018, at Manor Care of Carrollwood in Tampa, Florida. She was born in Akron, Ohio and had been a long-time resident of the Florida. She was married to her late husband, Harry Kodish, in 1944.
She became a new world woman after raising her four children, Les, Mark, Robert and Stanley. She attended night school and took classes that lead to an Associate’s Degree in Computers. She then took a job at the Baptist Hospital in Miami, Florida where she started a Medical Library for the Doctors. She worked there for twelve years.
Dorothy loved children, had a heart full of joy and was also devoted to her parents, Stanley and Lisa Voisert, whom she cared for in their later years. She had a heart full of joy and always asked. “What can I do for you?” She volunteered at Florida Hospital for over fourteen years. Dorothy was a loving, caring woman that will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all of those that she helped over a lifetime.
A service has been scheduled for 1:00PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 where she will be joining her husband, Harry.
I think Dorothy was related to me…. my mother, rose Rothkin terkel, grew up in Akron, and i spent much time visiting the Rothkin’s in Akron.
