Douglas George Parks, age 73, of Largo, FL passed away on April 6th, 2024. The son of George Edward Parks and Irene Bigelow Parks, Douglas was born on October 15th, 1950 in Richland, Washington and grew up in Pennsylvania. On March 10th, 2006, he married Tina Lakin at the Valdosta courthouse, GA, they shared 18 years of marriage. Doug was an engineman for 6 years while in the Navy, during the Vietnam era 1969-1975. The name of his ship was the USS Paul Revere. Douglas lived in both Malvern, PA and Bellaire Beach, FL before he moved to his home in Largo, Florida. His hobbies include fishing and playing bingo. Douglas is survived by his wife, Tina L. Parks and will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service with Navy Honors will take place at Baypines National Cemetery 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33708 on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 at 2:30PM
