His innate ability to put others before himself and his unwavering commitment to protecting and nurturing those he held dear will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
In his final moments, Fernando was surrounded by his wife and children, who stood by him with love and gratitude for the incredible impact he had on their lives and the lives of so many others. What an on spot way of words to describe Fernando, I witnessed his devotion to , You Carole, and his children Joseph, Helaine and Caroline. He was always so welcoming and interested in what I was doing, especially when I would clean his hair up for an occasion, and he was so unaware of how funny he was and accommodating to a fault, he treated me like family, he was the real deal! My heart is heavy for our loss, my extended family . Love and hugs, Sevi

I knew this boy in 1974, I was a foreign student in a new town living in the same room with him, he just started his medicine studies. He was the most kind and caring person I had meet. He took me to his hometown to spend a few days, I had the opportunity to meet his parents and some family. He share with me many things his parents care to sent him. I will never forget that first semester in the UNAH having him as my best friend! Even today, after 50 years, is hard to remember another person who was so kind to me. My deepest sympathy for all his family.
