Dyanne Tsuruye Bardi


Dyanne Tsuruye Bardi, 79 of St. Petersburg, died June 21 at Northside Hospital. She was born on December 5 th 1944 in a Japanese internment camp in Tule Lake, in northern California. She lived in Hayward, California and was raised by her grandmother. She had a foster mother, Kelly who was very important and nurturing in her life. She had a son, John in 1963 in Jacksonville, NC. She later returned to Southern California where she met Jack Kenefick. In 1980 she moved to Michigan where she worked in banking. She moved to Hawaii in 1982 where she met her husband of 33 years, Al Bardi. She became a devout Christian and even though she lived in great poverty she sent her son John to a private Christian school in California. She was promoted through her banking career ultimately becoming a vice president of PSCU, a company that supported credit unions. She was loved and beloved by her church family and her dear friends in the area. She is survived by her husband Al, her children, John and Dominic, her grandchildren, Lyndsey and Johnny, and a great grand daughter, Grace. Memorial Services will be held at Seminole First Christian Church conducted by her pastor, Rev. Andy Mason on Saturday July 13th, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Her family is meeting in Hawaii where she will be buried at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, in Kaneohe.
